DUTCH WOMEN AND CONSIOUSNESS

Last weekend we gathered with 13 Dutch women and focused on the evolution of consciousness, facilitated by Katrin Karneth  and myself. One of the things that really struck me was the quality of our being together, it is quite unusual to have a group of so called independent, strong ( and even  tough)  women together and experience right from the start, an openness, intimacy and depth of intention in wanting to focus on something we don't know. A field of unlimited possibilities was arising between us in literally shifting our focus from identifying being a separate entity that looked at the process of development in time, into knowing and realizing on the deepest level that we simply are the process itself. The impact is a deep shift of identification on who and how we are as this group of Dutch women, and by stepping fully in the depth and unknown ground transformation occurred right in front of our eyes and the interest and investigation in really wanting to change emerged naturally. One woman said when she left: "I go away as a different person."

My dear friend and colleague Katrin wrote me the day after the weekend: " I am again struck, how different Dutch women can be when they give themselves in this way. Then the freedom you have achieved in Holland as women is used in the right way"

And this is a part of one of the responses after the weekend, because that it is fact what matters most: what are the effects when we go our ‘separate' ways... (And we found out that is actually not even possible J

We can't convey enough how powerful and live changing it was. We all experience a big change in the way how we deal with important matters. There is more trust and more power to renounce conditionings. Also we experience a healthy distance in dealing with our ego structures which are more transparent now. This distance is the seed for trust and a clear perspective between us. Today we had a call with most of the women who attended last weekend and the depth of trust and surrender was profound. Ego was not able to rear it's head at all. The togetherness was beautiful, we were all smiling on the phone, each of us on our own houses. And that is a direct effect of the weekend.

We will be continuing this thrilling investigation together on conference calls on every Thursday from 20.00- 21.00 and there are other plans on the way!

Last week we finished the EE course with class 5 and it was striking how everything fell into place. The 5 tenets of how to live the teachings of Evolutionary Enlightenment are absolute, very attainable and dramatically simple and practical. The position of the practice of meditation is very similar to the application of the 5 tenets when you get up from your meditation cushion. You choose for victory, no matter what! Because what do you do if you don't feel inspired? When you feel your back is against the wall. You have the potential to always choose for the highest and the freedom of choice is liberation itself! In class 4 when we explained the difference between the ego and the authentic self I saw how with a lot of the participants the penny dropped. This was after a clip was shown when Andrew Cohen speaks about the choosing faculty. That it is literally in our own hands; whatever your experience might be you are the director of your own life. The power of the course comes from the fact that each person is contributing and engaging on the level of their experience and what always strikes me deeply is the level of complexity we can actually comprehend and engage with once we have found the interest and motivation to strive for a higher level of consciousness. It seemed to be hard to end the course and we will be holding another evening in July where we will continue further with discussion and investigation. We will open it up to any subject area possible, so stay tuned!

Last week we (Arjan and myself) taught class 3: meditation in the context of evolutionary Enlightenment. My main goal was to get as many people as possible to get them motivated to meditate and I will find out next week whether or not this goal is achieved. I have high expectations! What was deepening during the evening was the awareness of the motivation of why we want and need to meditate, and the meditations we experimented with during this evening were almost effortless and very natural.

During the class I shared my own experience of having done some meditation retreats. I spoke about a 3 months silent retreat I did where I had the most powerful, mind blowing revelations, and another 10 days retreat where I basically dealt with a torment of the mind, all sort of crazy thought streams, and all I did was having NO relationship to it all, which made me pierce through the mechanism of the very structure of the conditioned mind. The interesting thing was that the last retreat had a much bigger effect on me. After the last retreat I felt much stronger and maintained perspective and clarity about my own (Dutch?)  crazy mind. While after the first retreat I was in total bliss and deeply happy, the ‘state' experience faded and I was back with my old self pretty quickly, and was looking for the memories of these wonderful experiences.

This is what I find the most liberating and compelling about Andrew Cohen's teachings; you don't need to be enlightened to have a free, enlightened perspective on your own experience and life itself. It is the most straight forward, down to earth, short cut to the biggest view, and the inherent potential to create a very different world is beyond imagination.

Teaching the course together with Arjan is a totally blissful, demanding, mind expanding and most fulfilling activity. It was so interesting to experience how class 2 -context is everything- developed. I feel this class is the pillar of the entire course because it questions in the biggest possible way why we are here on this planet and how to make sense out of being here.

Grappling with these questions is for us Dutch people like drinking cold fresh water after having walked in the desert for hours on end and being dehydrated. And only when you start drinking, you realize how thirsty you really were and want more and more!  We are craving for meaning and purpose, and this is what started to enter the room in class 2, even beyond the words that had been spoken. You literally felt the entire room filled with ‘raison d'etre' , the fulfillment of why it really matters to be here, and to give to that purpose whole heartedly , how everything counts,  we are the universal principle itself ever reaching for more, deeper and higher. Only we alone are responsible for what we express in each moment, to make this creative force and principle conscious of itself. Cycling back home, the full power of what had happened that evening entered in my system,  and left me in awe and respect to the bigness, which the mind will never ever be able to understand and control, and made me even more thrilled about what will happen in the next 3 classes!

I just finished the 10 day teacher training course of Evolutionairy Enlightenment  by Jeff Carreira and without any doubt a new vehicle for the teachings of Andrew Cohen is created.

For anyone who has a passion and interest in a new level of consciousness, who is grappling with questions like who am I and how to make sense out of the human experience in the complex world where we live in, will be more than satisfied after doing this course of  5 evenings. The profound, scientific, whole and straight forward teachings go right in the core of your being and will inspire and challenge the ideas you have or thought you had. 25 teachers from all over the world will be teaching this course coming autumn.
